The Plusnet Leeds Half Marathon is one Yorkshire's biggst charity events. Along with the other events, the half marathon stands as part of the lasting legacy of the late fundraiser and campaigner Jane Tomlinson who raised almost £2m for charity by tackling a series of epic challenges, including cycling over 4,000 miles across America, despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer.
Setting off from The Headrow, the course turns left into New Briggate and out of the city centre towards Meanwood. Then it's up Stonegate Road and left on to the Ring Road.
An easy stretch down Hawksworth Road before, at around the 9-mile mark, a left on to Abbey Road and the run for home along Kirkstall Road and back into the city centre. The route goes past the historic Town Hall before taking a left into Cookridge Street, past the Raddison Hotel and on to the finish line.
